愛子宿には旅人が宿泊・飲食をする茶屋が三軒あり、宿場町で最も賑わう中心地のこの場所には、特に飲食店として繁盛していた「中野茶屋」がありました。この付近には、旅人の無事を祈願する「中宿地蔵尊」が祀られていましたが、平成27年道路拡張のため「中宿地蔵尊」は愛子駅北側の大門寺境内に移設されています。

This teahouse is one of three teahouses in Ayashi Station. It is located in the center of Ayashi. Nakasyuku Jizo, which blessing the safety of travelers was settled here. Afterwards, Nakasyuku Jizo was moved to the Daimon Temple, the north of Ayashi Station.
